This section is a placeholder for Archived news items, links (most recent links are found above) to pertinent documents like the reports from SIGTARP and the US Treasury, applicable laws which in some cases are being broken, etc. As mentioned on the home page, our current focus is on the multi-trillion dollar Value Drain currently underway --- money keeps flowing to the Plutocrats from the rank-and-file American, even though we currently have a better administration, with a little more transparency compared to the Bush days... However, the looting of America by blood-thirsty bankers that ex-treasury secretary Hank Paulson (an ex-banker himself) initiated in response to the 2008 Financial Meltdown continues.
On the one hand, hard-working Americans keep losing jobs. On the other, money from the Government keeps going under various guises --- TARP, TALF, pPiP, etc. to fill the fat bank accounts of rich Bankers from Goldman and Bank of America. For example, Goldman Sachs would have ceased to be in business, had it not received $10 billion in TARP bailout, and another $12.8 billion in payments from AIG (now 80% owned by the government). Goldman Sachs management did not manage their business well. However, they paid themselves big multi-million dollar bonus packages. Where did this bonus money come from? From the taxpayer / Government, obviously.
Is it fair to the rank-and-file American that the current treasury keeps following the foot-steps of Hank Paulson, who was also the CEO of Goldman Sachs immediately prior to his becoming the Treasury Secretary? Is this "Change We can Believe In" that President Obama had promised on his path to power? Can the plutocrats who keep looting the American treasury in the name of Democracy, Capitalism, and Free Markets be stopped?
Let's not give up hope yet. Let's keep fighting until some of these bankers who orchestrated the financial scam of the decade are put behind bars. Let's keep fighting. If you feel any resource links need to be added, please bring that to our attention by using our contact form.
